This article briefly introduces the method in cholesteatoma imaging preoperative evaluation for TEES (Transcanal endoscopic ear surgery). It is pointed out that the new development direction of cholesteatoma imaging preoperative evaluation for TEES , through the comparison and analysis of CT, DWI and CMDWI-CT.
Introduction:
Preoperative imaging evaluation of cholesteatoma for TEES is a decisive for the treatment of cholesteatoma. At present, preoperative imaging evaluation for TEES includes CT, DWI, MRI etc. With the development of diagnostic radiology, diagnostic imaging for TEES has a new solution. Based on the fusion of CT and DWI, non-EPI, CMDWI-CT(color-mapped diffusion-weighted images combined with CT) has become a new development in preoperative imaging evaluation, which provides powerful support for the precise treatment of TEES. In the future, with the development of computer analysis software and imaging examination technology, otologists will obtain more effective information from preoperative evaluation, and the operation effect will be significantly improved.
Body:
1 CT and MRI DWI
2 CMDWI-CT
Conclusion:
Cholesteatoma diagnostic imaging for TEES has gone through a process from CT, MRI DWI to CMDWI-CT. CMDWI-CT is a new technique for fusion of multiple imaging examinations with computer analysis software. It is a breakthrough in the diagnostic imaging (especially in the scope of infiltration and differential diagnosis of cholesteatoma),which provides powerful support for the accurate treatment of TEES. However, cholesteatoma imaging preoperative evaluation for TEES remains challenging.
