Dr. Yilai Shu is an attending doctor in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery and an investigator at Eye and Ear, Nose, Throat hospital of Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University. His clinical interests are otology and neurotology. His research interests are gene therapy for genetic deafness, hair cell regeneration and hearing protection.
He finished his postdoc in Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in 2010-2014 and became principal investigator in 2017 in Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University. He has received numerous awards, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Excellent Young Scholars, the Pujiang Talen of Shanghai, Travel Award of Association for Research in Otolaryngology of USA.
